Gently but firmly, breaking-in goes like this :
- approaching the horse with confidence, setting up trust, discovering grooming and tack
- progressive lunging, learning voice commands, quiet transitions
- mounting the horse
- get in the saddle, discover aids on the lunge
- start working off the lunge
Subsequently discovering jumping. Loose jumping to begin with and then under saddle, in a progressive manner so that the horse remains confident and with a good impression.,
